The goods were delivered as promised.
Love the fresh sea bass amidst other purchases.
And what’s more, pricing is very reasonable and matches what I would be paying at the wet market
(without wetting my feet).

The fish is a good size and very fresh, a total steal for the price. The prawns are also of a good quality and the vegetables fresh. They definitely picked the produce carefully before delivering them. I’ve ordered from supermarkets that sent me deformed vegetables and stuff that has been sitting on the shelves a little too long. Really appreciate the effort they took to make sure everything was tip top.

Bought a kg of oxtail. Nicely cut and trim the unwanted fat. First time doing my oxtail stew and yummy.

Today, I order… pig intestines from Claude & Clari online. May said I have to make sure I m happy with the quality.
Well. I am. The big intestines are not slimy and the runners are nice too. No smell at all. Hm.. better than me getting from the market myself. Now an expert market goer checks the freshness of my stuff for me!
I also have Sang Yu, goat and mutton that I cannot buy from big online grocers.
During the CB, I can get those fresh haebi (I don’t like those dried out small packs from NTUC for haebi hiam), buah keluak, fresh frog legs, salted fish, dried goods and rare sauces without having to wait for odd days to get into Geylang Serai.
And I checked… they are cheaper than NTUC. So I don’t understand what the fuss of squeezing and fighting at NTUC or Seng Siong etc is… why ah?
It makes me feel those nights without sleep designing, programming and implementing their online store and back-end systems worth the while, even if it is for a comforting bowl of soup.
